Two-Day Jeep & Hike Tour: “Hiking & Scrambling Al Hash mountain”

Have the opportunity to try Sand-Boarding in the sand dunes of the Wadi Rum desert, which is definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
Our starting point is the Wadi Rum Rest House (Google location here) in the Wadi Rum Village which is located about 7 km from the Visitor Center.
During the first day, we will visit all the most popular sites, take amazing photos, try our home-cooked lunch and watch the famous Wadi Rum Sunset.
After a long day in the desert, sleep in our traditional Bedouin Cave or Camp. We will light up a warm fire, offer you some Bedouin tea and prepare dinner. We will also provide you with mattresses, warm blankets & pillows, as nights in the desert are cold, no matter the season. Usually every night we gather all together, play Bedouin music and tell stories about Wadi Rum desert and Bedouin culture.
Don’t miss the opportunity to go for a night-time walk in the desert under our guidance and watch the amazing starry night sky, far away from any.
Next day, after breakfast, we will continue our drive through the desert until we reach one of the tallest mountains of the area. There we will have 5 full hours to hike and cross the Al Hash Mountain, taking some amazing photos in the process. No equipment is necessary. The route is very exciting and includes some of the most memorable views Wadi Rum has to offer. We will start scrambling from the eastern side of the mountain and cross the valley to reach the top at 1.700 meters above sea level. When we get down we will have lunch and Bedouin tea to refresh and rest. Finally, we will be headed to the Burdah Rock Bridge and enjoy the sunset.

Finally, after a second full day in the desert, we will take you back to the Rest House in the Wadi Rum village.

Lawrence’s Spring

T. E. Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia, will always be synonymous with Wadi Rum, both for the time he spent there during World War I and for the evocative descriptions in his masterful Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Today, tours by local Bedouin guides incorporate several of the sites most closely associated with the British lieutenant, including Lawrence’s Spring near Rum Village.

Red Sand Dunes

Wadi Rum desert is dotted with dunes. Both yellow and red dunes. The highest dune is in Wadi Um Ishrin. We prefer to visit the one near Khazali canyon for two reasons. Climbing this dune is easy, as you can climb via the rocks on the side. When on the top, you will have plenty of energy left to enjoy the pretty valley views and to run down the dune.

Abu Khashaba canyon

Walking through Abu Khashaba canyon is a discovery hike. You will see yellow sand, red sand, fabulously shaped mountainsides, and various plants and fig trees. Further, you can test your scrambling skills and stamina. This hike is part of our jeep tour. The Burdah rock bridge tour makes a great second day. The intense red of the dune and the deep blue of the sky above is a fascinating view.

Burdah rock bridge

The Burdah rock bridge,is one of the most popular rock bridges in Wadi Rum desert in Jabal Burdah. The Burdah rock bridge is on the north ridge with lenghth 35 meters. It is considered to be one of the highest rock bridges in the world. It is definitely one of the most spectacular places in our desert. If you have (a sense of) vertigo the best option is to marvel at this rock bridge from the valley floor.
